First day at my new "job" volunteering

People were nice at the 2 hand shop and the social club. I had a good free, hot lunch from the kitchen at the social club, and my colleague was a 60 year old, nice woman with SZ (the only โ€œoldโ€ person around, 7 years older than me ).

But when I work, I want to work, and there is not enough to do at the place and not enough customers. I got bored.

Overall a positive experience though.

I feel like volunteering in shops/cafes is often like that. Either you are rushed off your feet or you have nothing to do. Its not for me for that reason. I canโ€™t deal with too much pressure nor feeling useless doing nothing.

I can relate.

When i came home to myself, I thought that I might skip my disability and get a real but sheltered job 10 hours weekly instead of volunteering.

People on disability have that choice or possibility in my country.
