First date went well!

I had a first date today with a non-schizophrenic aka normie and it went great! He picked me up at my house at a little before noon and just got home and it’s like 7p.m.!

Im very happy for you and glad it went so well!! Sounds like one hell of first date, especially for so long of a time!! I hope it continues to go well with him.

Have you known him long? Is he aware of your illness? If not, if and when would you tell him, ideally? Do you think he would be understanding? He sounds great and i would like to think that he would be welcoming and supportive for you. Having a supportive partner has been the only reason i have been able to recover as much as i have. Good luck sweetie!! Dont dream about your smooching too much!! Lol!

Does he have any experiences with Mental illnesses? Was he willing to do some research or reading up on your illness on his own? When you told him what was his reaction? Did he ask many questions? All these Would be a big indicator on his understanding and compassion and his willingness to learn and support you. But seriously happy for you while your…sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Lol.

He says has a friend that has schizophrenia and so sorta knows what he’s getting into but Idk if he’d be willing to read bout it. As for his reaction he was like okay no problem.

Well thats great! Im so Happy for you.

Please read my post about my wife in ICU and send your prayers. Thanks for the chit chat its keeping me together.

Good for you!!! My fiancé is a normie and my mental illness doesn’t really affect our relationship all that much. As long as he’s a nice patient understanding guy, you could have a totally normal and happy relationship
