Financial issues

Does anybody have financial issues? I have financial issues sometimes. For example…… my car had problems, then I ran out of money recently.

I used to live on the brink when I owned a car. But when I sold the car I managed to save quite a lot each month. But I was living a very simple and restricted life spending wise.

I got rid of my car now I save $500.00 dollars a month. No gas, no insurance and no repair costs and no car payments.

Another person saving $500 a month selling their car.

My husband works from home so we were barely using it. We have two free transit options plus the occasional Uber once or twice a month, but that’s no more than $35 per trip if we go from our side of town all the way to the other. Only do that for doctors. We take free transit there and Uber back.

As to the original question, yes, money is often tight. We have $16k in a savings account, but we refuse to touch it for daily expenses.

Live within our means, and have zero credit card debt.

I don’t have any savings unfortunately.

I live paycheck to paycheck as they say.

Hoping to save atleast a few hundred bucks next year.

I have a second hand car and it’s bloody expensive to keep but I love it and improves my life.

I’m 49. I never thought my life would be like this.

I live alone. I find it super hard to save for bigger stuff while on a disability pension. Sometimes things break. What if I need a new mobile phone, computer chair, microwave oven, printer, computer, etc.? What if I want to pay someone to remove two pieces of furniture I never use (two shelves)? That’s $200 just to remove junk.

My mom shames me every time I mention paying someone to get rid of it. She says to just put it in the garbage room, and I keep telling her we’re not allowed to do that!

This year I went to the eye doctor. I asked about the tray of disability covered glasses and if they still have it. They said “Yes, but you aren’t limited to just those. You can choose any glasses in the store.” I looked at the assistant like was nuts and I think I said something like, “I’m on disability pension…so, no, I can’t just choose anything.” People have no clue what goes one these days! They’re only a bad car accident from finding out just how little we get…
