Hi all,
I am so excited… it’s been since 2016 that Ive been forced to take an injection by syringe to take my medication. Coming up soon I will be put on pills, at the end of the month. It’s been 8 years… for anyone living in a situation where they are forced to take an injection, I am telling ya, there is hope!, Hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And I knew that something good was gonna happen after all these years. As long as you improve day after day, year after year, somethings gotta give. I am taking Abilify and I sleep too much, hopefully the pills on a lower dose help with sleep. I hate sleeping too much!, it’s a waste of life. 8 hours max, thats it. Anyways, if anyone is in a similar situation please drop a line down below…
For me personal the injection is the best. You just have one appointment every month and that’s it
Yeah my friend does a 3 month injection and loves it apparently. I think, just the fact that I was forced to take an injection with no option for meds really made me upset, that bothered me for years.
How did U get off your injection and onto pills ? @Poohead456
How was the transition ?
Make sure you take the pills every day. Maybe get a pill box so you can see if you’ve taken them or not. Best of luck!
Hi DNA, I’ve had many good days of not being in the hospital, last I was there was 2019, and it’s 2024 now. I think it depends on your doctor too, the one I had where I used to live was horrible!, I moved and the new one is really nice. I guess what their looking for is positive results from being on the medication, living a good healthy life and thats basically what it took for me to get on pills. There is hope, never give up. P.S. I am still an alcoholic but plan on stopping in the future.
EDIT: I have not started taking pills yet, not until around mid september. If this thread is still up I’ll post my progress.
Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
Sounds like you are on the right path.
The only reason I’m asking is cuz I don’t like getting poked by needles and I’m considering switching to pills in the future.
It’s all good man, I’m addicted to THC and nicotine.
We all have our vices.
Good luck to U and the future.
I understand, I hate needles too!. People have left my province because of that. If your stuck, just know, there is hope, living a good healthy life is the key to getting on pills I find. Even if your addicted to something else they will consider you for what you want. I find it strange that people “Like to be on the injection”, so weird to me. Glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore!. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers.
