Feelings about group therapy?

I’ve been thinking of checking out the mood disorder group, just to sort of get a feel for it.

I’m not a huge fan of group therapy.

I’m probably not the best person to ask, either.

I couldn’t handle that either. On a side note how was your dinner!

I’ve never done group therapy I keep denying the opportunity but part of me would like to. I’ve been placed in CBT about have yet to attend.

A friend of mine says he really appreciates all he got out of it. Idk how well he’s doing now. He says good.

You deserve to be spoiled.

In my trauma group, we never discussed our traumas. We just talked about our goals, and learned coping skills. We would sometimes say which symptoms we were struggling with, but that was as far as it got.

That definitely sounds a lot less intense, for sure.

I found that CBT helped with some stuff and less with others. It kept me alive through highschool.

Personally, I don’t like it.

That’s totally fair.

Group therapy wasn’t good for me. I felt like i had to talk like people in a ‘group’ are supposed to talk. I was without defences.
