is a habit I’ve got that I find really annoying. I need to relax and enjoy the presence of others and not make it a contest of wits.

I think that it comes with an age where we’re naturally and selflessly willing to connect with others because it’s a right thing to do. To me it came through seeing enough hell so that I realized what’s important and what’s just superficial surface stuff.
