I’m feeling sad lately. I can’t seem to shake it. I’m especially sad that I no longer have the same therapist and my new therapist is tough on me. I’m also grieving letting go of my dog. I’m just so sad.
I had the dog. It’s hard to let things go.Do you have someone to share your sadness?
My husband. But when I’m sad it really stresses him out so I’m not talking to him about it.
How is your therapist hard on you?
I understand. It can be really hard to share when you don’t want to bring your hubby down. I hope you feel better soon.
The way she’s challenging my thinking and so called delusions. It’s a hard, tough love approach. She makes me feel embarrassed and stupid
Thanks @anon4362788
I understand. Sounds tough. I hope things get better.
Thanks @GrayBear
Dang pianogal. Sadness is tough. I hope you feel better soon. I’m sure your therapist means well. Sorry to hear about missing your dog. I have a dog myself and he is an important part of my life. I can only imagine what it would feel like to let go of him. Here is a photograph of him smiling. I hope it cheers you up a little.
Sorry you feeling this way @LilyoftheValley
Hope you feel better soon
So cute! It did make me smile! Thanks!
Thanks @anon97118089
Sorry you are feeling sad.
Can you think of something that makes you a little less sad and just ask people for it?
E.g. for me it isnt always serious talking about sad stuff that helps. There is a friend that i joke with about my sad stuff. It helps. I call him when im sad and ask.
Also, does the tough love therapist help you in a way? For some it might work, it motivates them to change things, but for some it only brings them down and demotivates them. If you are the latter type - find a new one! Or honestly tell her it makes you sad. Perhaps she can change her strategy.
@anon73478309 I think the therapist just brings me down. Good idea to look for something fun or funny.
Doesn’t sound like a good therapist
Hmm…that isnt good. I hope you can find a therapist that is a better match for you, that is more empathetic. Dont continue seeing someone who brings you down! You are the customer…
Hope you feel less sad soon. Hugs.
I think the others are right about your therapist. She doesn’t sound like she’s helping you at all. Maybe you should look into getting a new one. I’m sorry you’re dealing with all this. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks @disciple
