For the first time in my life…I am no need of anything…the cost of living increase has changed my life. no doubt. I am not borrowing from my mom anymore and she only buys me things when she wants to…I don’t ask…makes me proud. really proud…for those who struggle financially my heart goes out to you. we are losing extra covid food stamps after this month and I did the bills for April and we won’t be in a hard pressed situation for food…thank goodness…
I am happy that you are feeling good and in better financial shape, but I don’t get the cost of living increase going up as being some big financial relief. The cost of everything has gone up and will continue to go up even more as a result of current events.
Maybe you are one of the lucky ones and your housing expenses have not gone up while you got the increase to your income. Maybe you are avoiding much of the increase in cost of everything somehow.
I think many people are going to be feeling the pinch despite this adjustment.
yes, I agree…Oklahoma has a low cost of living expense on everything so far…it’s cheaper here for rent too…I have a grandfather clause in my contract with my landlord that my rent won’t be raised because I am on disability. my rent is only 400. not smoking cigarettes anymore is very crucial here. I only buy 20 bucks worth of weed a month too…all the rest goes to food and gas and things we need monthly…we won’t have any left over for art supplies or anything like that, but what I meant is that we will be able to buy food regardless of losing our food stamp extra relief. @Bowens
@shutterbug you made me feel really happy seeing your pic.
