Feeling down

I’m 27 years old and I don’t have my drivers license. Barely have saved any money. Have an alcohol problem. I’m short and over weight. I’m the least successful adult in my family. Quite and not confident in social situations.

I know I can change some of these factors. It’s just hard to do when your mentally ill.

Just felt the need to get that off my chest.

Thanks for reading.

I’m sorry. You might still be grieving, too. Be gentle with yourself, and try to see the positives about you.

Thanks @anon55031185

I can totally relate.

But you know what the answer is.

You have to start making changes.

If you cut out the booze, it’ll be easier to lose weight and your meds will work better.

You may never be taller or a social butterfly, but who needs to be?

Don’t feel bad about things you can’t change and try to make baby steps toward improvements where you can.

Well, I think you’re great. Do what you can when you can. You’ve got this.

Being short is not a bad thing. Being overweight is something that you are working on.

For me my biggest job is to figure out how to have interest in something. I used to love gaming and trying real hard to enjoy it again.

I’m on disability. Work and status isn’t a goal for me with SZ. It’s making it heough the day. And trying to find something joyful.

Hope you find a goal that you want to work towards.

I think everyone’s advice has been banging on a, so I’ll just say I feel you. I just crawled out of a slump a little while ago, so I know how it feels

I’m sorry @TheCanuk. I think you’re a genuinely good person, and that’s what matters most in life.

Me too. My brothers and sisters have prestigious jobs, my father was a successful architect. I’m the only one on benefits.

Sorry you’re having a hard time, I have a problem with alcohol too, and feel like — today. You are not alone.

You know. We’re literally the same, age included. I dont have an alcohol problem, but otherwise i know how you feel about being unsuccessful.
