Do you go to food banks? I’ve done that when I couldn’t afford groceries. Some pantries are better than others. But if you go to several, you’ll know which ones to keep going to.

oh man, we went to our food bank here in my small town…a lot of out dated canned goods and a few bags of noodles…no good…thanks though.

I didn’t get mine. Without it my food stamps is only $16. I will be eating raviolis out of my pantry.
Sorry @Leaf . It’s hard without the extra, I know. We normally get about $300 for 7 people because my husband and daughter get SSI. They seem to think $1600 will cover bills and groceries and household supplies.

I know, it’s really hard, I just have so much debt. But I can cut back and I don’t need much for just one person. It’s much harder with a family.

Great news dude 
Wow 300 for 7 that’s ridiculous. If I remember correctly I was getting like 600 for a family four. I wonder if you can have them relook at it.

We get other benefits that they count against us as income. Even though we never get the money. It is sent directly to landlord.
