Now if I can just the marsala spice to put in it…I live in a small town and I bet it’s hard to find it…plus I learned how to make naan bread, or at least I have the recipe at my disposal.

@Ninjastar oh I want so much to do it from scratch though…thanks…I found the garam masala but it’s pricey…this will be an expensive meal…have to wait I guess. mainly because I need to buy a rolling pan for the naan bread.

Ahh gotcha. I thought it was a time sensitive thing. It does sound amazing! Rolling pons often turn up at thrift stores fairly cheap, but in a pinch I have used a water bottle and it’s worked ok.
oh good idea !! I am intimidated by this dish actually…gotta get up my nerve…the part about rising the naan bread and making the butter chicken too…man…gonna’ take some practice.
Bread is hard to get the hang of. On the one hand, no matter how you do it, you will likely end up with edible bread at the end. On the other hand, it will never come out the same way twice, because a lot of it depends on the temperature and humidity of the air, the liveliness or the yeast, and other factors that are difficult to predict. You have to learn to get a feel for the dough, and know what you need to add or do in the moment.
But that stuff mostly affects how well it keeps. Either way, it tends to be delicious when it is fresh from the oven.
the naan bread recipe I’m following fries the naan bread in a skillet…not in the oven…or is that what you do? @Ninjastar
It all depends. Bread is bread. Yeast, flour, oil, sugar, water, heat. There are thousands of different ways to make bread. I have done many of them.
Naan isn’t hard to make. It’s just a variation of fry bread. I typically make frybread from Native American culture as that is what I grew up with. It goes well with curries.
Use a bottle as a roller.
You don’t even need a rolling pin, really. I kept forgetting to buy a new one for years. Just patted stuff out with my hands.
