I was thinking of seeing if the pdoc would switch me to Caplyta? Heard it isn’t as bad about weight, which I was concerned because I haven’t been on APs too long anyways, only been taking risperdone for a couple weeks, but my appetite is super duper high rn.
Ever try caplyta, did you gain any weight? Is this drug safe?
I’m on Caplyta. It’s a safe drug. I haven’t gained any weight. 
My pdoc wanted me to try Caplyta, but it’s too expensive for me. Something like a $500.00 a month copay on my insurance. Maybe these new drugs work miracles, but what good are they when you can’t afford them.
That’s definitely too expensive. With the Caplyta coupon, I paid no co-pay.
That’s cool, so it works as good as all the other meds I guess, just wondering cause I read that it wasn’t as strong as the other ones
It works the same as my other AP. It doesn’t appear to be weaker than Geodon, which is what I was on before.
Calypta is said to be as efficient as most of the other antipsychotics, but with a better side effect profile.
I just don’t understand why the makers of thease drugs don’t claime a lot less money for their products in less wealthy countries.
