There was an old church song that goes " John was in the Spirit, upon the Lords day" and I use to sing out loud " John was drinking spiritsā¦". 
Iām half deaf so I mishear lyrics all the time.

I change the lyrics to suit my circumstances anyways so it doesnāt matter. I deliberately sing them wrong. I make up my own songs 
I mishear lyrics a lot, but what really causes me trouble is that I mishear what people say all the time. Iām constantly having people repeat themselves because what I heard didnāt make any sense.

Iāve misheard most song lyrics all of my life because I am very hard of hearing. I never know exactly what the singer is singing, so all of my life, since I was a child, I made up my own song lyrics and sang songs as I saw fit. I am like that to this day. And, it only gets worse with time.
