There was an old church song that goes " John was in the Spirit, upon the Lords day" and I use to sing out loud " John was drinking spirits…". :joy:

Shinead O’connor nothing compares to you … thought it was ā€œno income tax to youā€.

Cold chisel song can’t remember the name … the lyrics are ā€œgot cheap wine and a three day growthā€ i heard ā€œgot cheap wine and a three legged goat.ā€

I always thought the Carrie Underwood song said ā€œDug my key into the side of his pretty little stooped up four wheel drive/Carved my name into his legacyā€ which I still think is better than ā€œleather seatsā€. Might have to steal that line for a poem or song or rap :stuck_out_tongue:

I mishear lyrics and stay from most English lyrical music.

A 100 bottle of beets on the wall, a 100 bottle of beets".
99 bottles of beets on the wall, 99 bottles of beets.
98 bottles of beets…
Man, I hate beets.

I change the lyrics to suit my circumstances anyways so it doesn’t matter. I deliberately sing them wrong. I make up my own songs

I mishear lyrics a lot, but what really causes me trouble is that I mishear what people say all the time. I’m constantly having people repeat themselves because what I heard didn’t make any sense.

Been through Lodi last Saturday, thank Gawd I’ve never been stuck in it, thanks local boys of old.

I’ve misheard most song lyrics all of my life because I am very hard of hearing. I never know exactly what the singer is singing, so all of my life, since I was a child, I made up my own song lyrics and sang songs as I saw fit. I am like that to this day. And, it only gets worse with time.
