Crazy how new laptops simply charge via USB type C. My brother has one. He can charge both ways.
I just charge mine at the electrical outlet. I wouldn’t use a usb even if it was available.
But the USB C charger is plugged too to the wall 
I prefer USB type C as the port never breaks. I had old laptops that charge via the old way and often the first thing that break in them is the charging port.
I had to solder my uncle’s laptop charging port once.

I used to charge my vape on the usb port on my computer. I thought that’s what they were talking about.
My new vape is usb type C but it has a removable 18650 battery inside that I charge with charger. I use many batteries, when one is empty I just swap it with a fully charged one. I charge the batteries once I have at least 2 empty batteries, the charger can charge 4 at the same time.
