I can’t decide. Moles are cute, and they are live beings, but they can be pests like mice and rats, and ruin one’s garden.
I personally couldn’t do it.
If you have the conscience to kill them and not feel too bad about it, I don’t see a problem with it.

Unless your lawn is a bowling green, or you play croquet, I would say live and let live…

i’d like a nice manicured lawn to take my shoes off and stretch, lay out in the sun things like that, but I really don’t do much in it… that was kinda what I was thinking.
they are kinda cute. I do have a garden but they haven’t bothered it so far. i’ll probably do raised beds gardens in the future. not sure if they would get into those or not
They are only noticeable on a lawn. A raised bed and their actions won’t be noticed. They are after worms. It is only an aesthetic disruption.

There may be another option depending on how many moles you have, to catch them with a humane trap and release them some distance away. I used one to catch a rat and released it a mile away by the side of a river.

I estimate we have about 10-20 moles based on what I’ve read they don’t overpopulate. with about 2 or 3 per acre but they sure do leave tunnels and mole hills all over the property.
ill look into catch and release traps as a possibility

I think humans should look after and protect animals, not harm them.
Let them be, the earth is as much theirs as it is yours, it belongs to noone and everyone ie it’s to share.
Or rehome them, it will make you feel good.

I used to accuse my mom of sympathy towards mole terrorism. My workplace used these awful spring loaded mole traps, which basically had the effect of stabbing a mole through the head as he walked down his hallway in his home. I would sneak onto the grounds, pull the traps up and throw them into the woods.

And ■■■■ golf courses. Seriously. What a complete waste of precious land and their rich owners are ■■■■■■■ over the cities with their tax fixing manipulation of politicians way back when. Man, ■■■■ golf courses.
Maybe you could make a mole palace and feed them only on one side if your yard and coax then to start in that side since they’re well fed over there. Then they’ll leave it if your yard lump free for sun bathing.

I always wanted a house on a golf course…in fact their is a golf course in my hometown selling lots. like 40k for .25 acre. I was really thinking about it. it’s so peaceful, it’s where i’d like to end up some day. for what its worth
