Can anyone shed some light on having an empty feeling inside that feels painful. Is this a negative symptom? Feeling hollow? I wouldn’t say I have no motivation but it definitely gets in the way of living a normal life
Doesn’t sound like anything Ive heard of before. Maybe loss of sense of purpose, a negative symptom.

yea I think so @Minnii. Therapist said it could be a defense mechanism. If thats the case then I guess its temporary. I hope its temporary rather.
The empty feeling is typical of borderline personality disorder and of depression.

me too I have it. sometimes it is really painfull. and its in the chest… one of my diagnoses is borderline as well… ive upped my Zyprexa, in the day its better on this side. the other thing that I do to avoid that, is that I try to get better in character. not to be mean or jealous etc etc… it sucks I know… but dont lose hope and fight for it!
