Dying with Dignity

I couldn’t remember the name of the post where this was discussed, so here is a snippet from the latest email from Dying with Dignity, the assisted end-of-life group

*David,

It’s a momentous day for end-of-life rights in Canada. After months of parliamentary debate, Canada’s Senate has passed Bill C-7 by a vote of 60-25.

Over the past year, you were one of the tens of thousands of Canadians who expressed support for the bill, and urged our country’s decision-makers to expand access to assisted dying. Your efforts paid off.

Though this bill is not perfect, it will give Canadians fairer access to their constitutional right to make informed end-of-life choices and ease the suffering of many who are currently denied a peaceful and dignified death under the law.*
