I have played exactly once.

It’s a hilarious story that I wish I had the energy to type.

Just some advice from a ■■■■■ who knows,

When they’re doing characters,

Don’t be a lizard man.

Everyone will make fun of you and you’ll not understand why.

Can you expound? What did Wizards of the Coast do?

I dont like board games, they are a little too slow for my taste. Baldur’s gate is an amazing game tho.

Im a big fan of the books aswell

I hated the changes they made going from 3.5 to 4th edition. A lot of my favorite PC RPGs are D&D games, usually set in the Forgotten Realms. Fantasy novels too.

I grew up playing D&D when it was uncool. So much fun. We were more basic d&d rather than the advanced and we played other rpgs as well. It was nuts because coming down from psychosis I gave all my rpgs and games to my sisters partner…

She split with him like two months later and I was so pissed. That was like so much good gear gone and never back but still. I collect a read still. I also like wargames so I find the rules fun to read so keep some in stock. I have 5th edition core which I’ve read and the various starter sets just incase i can organise a game again…

It’s a great game if people are enjoying it and takes some work and a good gamesmaster. Still nothing else out there like it. It’s not Monopoly. It’s fun in a theatrical sense.

It can be so much fun. You assign roles and use statistics to bring your character to life. Role Playing Games were such a different thing back in the 80’s. I still have so many good memories of our regular gaming adventures. It was kinda a different world then but still an interesting way to spend an afternoon.

I use to role play with my neighbor hood friends. This is from my pre teens to early teens. This was around 1982 to 1984. Sounds like we would have loved Dungeons and Dragons.

I love dungeons and dragons!! I play it almost every week!!

Creating characters and going on adventures with everyone is super fun!! It’s an interactive story and it’s always interesting to see where it all goes.

My favorite part is making characters personally and figuring out what makes them tick. And watching them grow and change over the course of the story can be super rewarding!!

I love DnD if you have any specific questions I’d be happy to answer!!
