Dream interpretation-do you believe in it?

Does it make sense to you or do you think it’s mumbo jumbo? I have tended to favour the latter opinion. However have recently had several dreams when I’ve lost the ability to talk and found the following interpretation that makes some sense.

To dream of losing your voice represents feelings of being unable to express your opinions or feelings to others. Feeling denied the ability to express yourself. You may feel it’s impossible to speak up for yourself or draw attention to your needs.

This certainly makes sense with regards to my frustration at communicating with my mental health team.
I hold back most of the time because of negative treatment in the past when seeking help and support and a fear of a repeat of such abusive behaviour. Occasionally I’ll mention something when asked, only to be virtually ignored. The result is concealed frustration.

I believe you can attribute meaning to dreams. Not that they have a fixed meaning intrinsically that some people know of while others don’t. It’s your dream, you’re the one it matters to, so it is up to you to decide what it means. Others can help, make suggestions etc. But I don’t think there is such a thing as being wrong about the meaning of your own dreams.

I see my dream this way: the brain releases negativity in my dream for whatever it collects during the day time.

Not so interested in dream interpretation. I don’t believe in it.

For a dream comes from too many preoccupations. ----Ecclesiastes 5:3

I remember a Phil Donahue interview awhile back I read,

and he said he always sleeps on his back, and he never dreams.

Dreams are just the rumination of the sub-concious. Infact, I’m about to purchase some Mugwort to enable Lucid Dreaming…
