Do you think this is true? Or do you think dreams don’t mean anything

Just my brain unwinding. I often dream about work. Two jobs in particular and I haven’t done that in years…I’m always waking up frustrated though. I’m trying to do things but can’t get them done properly.

I don’t believe they are indicating anything and big believer in that.

I had a dream last night that a snake bit me and its suppose to mean health problems when I looked it up but I dont know that dreams mean anything still it seems like a bad omen

Geeez, people have been trying to figure out dreams forever. I don’t think there’s a definitive answer about what dreams mean. Any research has it’s detractors. It’s all symbolism to some people. Other people just think they’re like random movies that go through our minds. I don’t think anyone has figured out exactly how they work and what they mean.

I personally think dreams have the meaning that we give to them.

Not necessarily what it says on Google

I don’t think it is all symbolism, but I think dreams do have some symbolism. I used to have dreams about tornados a lot. They come when I feel threatened. I used to have dreams with snakes in them. They came when I had problems that worried me. But I do believe that a lot of dreams are just electrical impulses firing in your brain when you’re asleep.

Humans have been trying to figure out the meaning of dreams since the beginning of time. But I think there is a big leap between valuing your dreams and thinking you’re a psychic.

Ever since I had a delusion of thinking that, I am able to travel spiritually out of my body to another’s and control people whenever I fell asleep, dreams feel different. Every time when I wake up I have to tell myself that it’s not real. If I don’t be careful, I’ll believe it as a real experience…

I think some dreamings have meaning and some don’t. Like tonight I dreamt something totally nonsenical. But sometimes I have more anchored dreams, like dreaming about someone I know or places I am familiar with. I believe these dreams might have some meaning because they have a parallell with reality in the sense that your dream partially about something that exists.

Did you know that some anti-depressants make you dream more?

I think some dreams do have meaning to the dreamer.
Often when I dream about people I know its quite revealing of what I think of them, or what I feel for them etc.

It’s not something I would obsess about. I definitely don’t think they are prophetic.

Dreams deal with themes that are out of your control that you seek some control over and the dreams aren’t always direct; they sometimes display these themes through symbolism.

“I’m Dreaming of a White Jeanie.”

My dreams have repeated themes

I dream a lot of school - always my senior year
And this imaginary friend Vincent (van Gogh) I had for five years
And my ex boyfriend
And my parents and husband
And the church and convent and nuns and priests I knew
And being in psych hospital

Sometimes I also dreamt this nightmare about scary closed off room in big house which terrifies me each time I go near it
