I never know what to buy especially for Christmas. The supermarket will be so busy. Hopefully my stepdaughter will do it for me.
We are having turkey. Kind of like a second Thanksgiving for Americans. I have done lasagna before though. That’s my wife’s favorite.
Go with your gut. Just do it.
I’m just ordering the usual stuff i get every week online. There’s a 50/50 chance I’ll be spending it at my brother’s anyway.
Aren’t all the online grocery slots taken by now? I have to book the slot well in advance to ensure it at Christmas.
Have an ASDA delivery order sorted.
I had to book 2 weeks ago to get the already filled slots till Christmas. The earliest/latest I could get was this Wednesday. The rest till xmas were filled up.
I managed to get Thursday.
I’ve only done one online grocery shop since I’ve been here. That was when I first moved in. My stepdaughter wanted to get me shopping in store.
You might have saved my bacon. The slots were filling up. I’ve got a delivery slot for the 21st now.
i’ll scrounge some trimmings from somewhere haha
my mum is cooking so it’ll probably be burnt, or on fire haha, my Sis says she’ll help
last xmas was the best xmas i ever had so its going to be hard to beat.
We are getting Chinese takeaway for Xmas dinner
lol, this is my 15th Christmas in a row on my own.
Are you gonna get crackers?
I’ll be going to my stepdaughter for Christmas or Boxing day depending on when she’s working. I like to get in some Christmassy food bits. I’ve bought a few festive meals from Wiltshire farm foods.
The old cheddars Mince pies are a must also. I love them.
My mum makes trifle every year. Is pretty darn good
I prefer mince pies with flaky pastry.
@anon94176359 My mum used to make a great sherry trifle so did my wife.
me too. Flaky pastry rules.
Never seen a flaky pastry mince pie before. I like Christmas pudding with cream. Just regular cream not brandy one
I’m not overly keen on Christmas pud. I’ll eat it but it’s far from my favourite.
