I am not sure why but this holiday season is upsetting me. I have a stress headache again.
I am spending the 25th on my own so there is no reason for me to get anxious but I am subconsciously freaking out a wee bit.
I keep waking very early (like 4am). I. Only get this whilst stressed.
Have got all my shopping done and the food gets delivered Monday. Tbh I really want a cigarette but luckily there is no shop in my village with which to fall off the wagon.
Actually as I vent, typing this message out, I am feeling a little bit better. Is kinda cathartic. Feel like easy food tonight so just having some breaded chicken done in the oven.
Christmas is what you make it. I’m old school tho and think it should only be for children, santa and all that. Not an excuse to drink too much and eat too much food, but I know I’m in the minority.
@anon94176359 Just treat it like another day mate. Too much expectations are put on people, thinking them over the fence is having a better time than you are. They probably ain’t. Especially with covid.
I’m thinking you may need your pregabs mate. If only to take the edge off. Call me wrong. But feel free to pm me, you still have my number right if you wanna text xmas day? I’ll be on me Todd as well mate, but after the Emma debacle I’m actually looking forward to the peace lol.
Oh yeah quite bonkers lol. I freeze it in water so I have time to think about it whilst it defrosts lol. The keys often go the same way, when I lock myself up lol ha
I can definitely commiserate with those experiencing stress about the holidays. I am feeling very stressed as well both about the holidays and about covid.
If the terrible covid numbers in California are any indication, holidays and covid are a very bad combination, especially when folks don’t follow the health and safety guidelines. Our hospitals are inundated with covid patients from folks ignoring the ban on get-togethers over the Thanksgiving holiday and all indications are that things will get even worse after the Christmas holidays.
