No, I find most schizophrenic art to be chaotic, disturbing, and generally low quality.
i tried art but i haven’t got the patience for it, a girl posted here earlier who had some talent but if you are talking in general i’d say the majority can’t produce a coherent image in their mind long enough.
most of the time things are just a blur for me, i mean i try my best but there is a permanent cloud there stopping creativity, the best i can do is the odd piece of poetry but thats it.
I’m doing well if I can draw a stick figure.

I’ve noticed they usually make worse artists, not better. There are also claims that SZs are more intelligent than the general population, but most evidence points to the majority of us taking a cognitive hit from this illness. I know I have. I’m personally an internationally published landscape photographer. My success is not because of my illness, but in spite of it.

Schizophrenics are too self-involved to be the best artists. They know a little piece of the world that they stand on.
What famous artists are schizophrenic? I don’t happen to know of any who are well known except in certain circles. You just don’t hear of many famous artists who are schizophrenic. What made you ask the question? Who said that schizophrenics make the best artists? Where did you get that from"
I wouldn’t say they make the best artists just because of sz. However a lot of famous artists are “out there” in some way.
