Don't really use facebook

I use this forum more than I use facebook. No one knows me in this forum, while on facebook I get anxious about posting because a lot of people seen me and know how I behave and talk as a person.I can type and talk well online but never with a person in real life…the recent most comfortable socializing is with people I met when playing football,I am more at peace when socializing with them.I don’t use Facebook to talk how I feel or think because of people In real life I know can read about it

How is your relationship with people in real life and facebook?

I do not use Facebook at all.

I have never used facebook. Don’t trust it. Not really sure I trust this place either. But I make an effort. I have a few friends. They have never seen me without meds. I get told that I am quiet. Being around people makes me tired. Too much effort. Trying to keep up with conversation is difficult and I usually get asked if I am okay. That always makes me nervous.

I´m done with Facebook. Had some hundreds of friends and got a lot of invitations to official/work related meetings and parties. But I get paranoid of it, it scares me, so I deleted my account. I get paranoid on this site as well to some degree, but I make an effort:-) I prefer meeting people in real life. Even if I´m not as social and outgoing as I used to be.

I talk better online as well. Sometimes, it’s hard to talk about what’s going on with me otherwise. I don’t post very much on Facebook. I mainly look at what other people posted and I might like the post or make a comment. I think I’ve talked more on this forum than on Facebook.

I have used Facebook for 6 years now to keep in touch with my family and a few friends. I just post things about politics or the paranormal. I never post about my feelings, symptoms or sz. Only some people know my diagnosis and I’m scared if everyone else did they may not want to talk to me anymore.

I had a Facebook account for about a year. The reason I deleted it was because it made me feel lonely. I have a rather active social life even though I don’t have any close friends at the moment. Plenty to keep me busy in my life though.

■■■■ facebook and their tracking.

I have been posting recently on Facebook. I can see different people’s personalities distinctly. Some have issues they are pushing. I got scared today when someone I knew posted a post that I couldn’t understand. She mentioned a painful time in her life, people I did not know, names, etc. I know this person from Recovery meetings where she never mentions anything personal except her symptoms. Online relationships are empty. There is no real person at the other end. You never see the people in reality. Online relationships are much easier for me than real life relationships.

I never bothered using Facebook, it’s a big waste of time if you ask me.
Also my paranoia would get in the way

I was thinking about deleting it the other day. I hardly talk to anyone on it anymore, and I never see anyone on it apart from family. I really only spend time on it now because I like the newsfeed. I could join Twitter but I already liked pages on FB.

I don’t know what FB is for. I guess it’s more for famous ppl with business purposes.

But I wonder why it’s harder to talk to ppl who know you than ppl who don’t know you?

I have an account, but that was only to talk to my husband (now the ex) when he went out of town, he communicated better online…

I find it funny the people who have hundreds of friends rarely ever associate with any of them offline.

Facebook and other social media platforms are powerful tools

All the better to get to know you and your friends,
and friends of friends…

it all depends who you trust to see what you are up to and about who you are and its great to keep up to date with things and there are some really funny videos out there and pictures that people share that i like.
