Grr… what a stupid sleepless night. Was having a depressive attack. Turned on slow TV and saw some stupid entertainment show about the rich and famous.
Apparently I don’t know much about famous people. I didn’t know the people they talked about in the show, but they all seemed to lack something, a depth, a perspective, and their postulated happiness made me feel even more depressed.
They all talked in stock in trade clichés. Very empty.
I have no desire to be famous. Famous people leave their homes and get approached by fans or stalkers while they are out all the time, they can’t just go about their lives without being harassed quite often. That would suck.
There are sooooo many platforms nowadays. There are so many supposedly “famous” people now. It’s not like the old days where just about everyone knew most of the famous people. There are soooooooo many celebrities now, It’s ridiculous.
Watching flow TV, especially entertainment shows makes me feel even more estranged from the world. I already feel like I’m floating around in the world without connection to anything.
I always have this idea to stop reading celebrity stuff stop watching celebrity stuff and see if it makes a difference to me.
But I have not done it so far.
I enjoy documentary of famous, they seem like genuine people. I dont follow them though.
I’m in the same boat as you @bluebutterfly I haven’t got a clue who the popular celebrities or musicians are these days. They are just faces with no names., and I can’t tell one from the other
Something tells me, even if I knew who they were, I still wouldn’t give a s***
I don’t either. I watch all the late night comedy show monologues because they usually have some pretty funny jokes, but a lot of the guests they interview, and virtually all of the musicians they have that play at the end of the show I’ve never heard of. Most modern music sucks imo based on what I’ve seen on late night TV.
Don’t get me started on the canned, auto-tuned sound of today. Actual talent is a thing that is few and far between today, and musicians don’t really seem to pay their dues anymore.
Go on the road for two years, and come back with a scar on your forehead and a heroin addiction, then we’ll talk lol
I don’t want to know or care about famous people either. It would be different if I see them in person but I wouldn’t want to bother them.

I care about charismatic people… they input a good role for me to follow, motivational and such.
For me like Brittany Murphy, Sky Brown.
They are famous because a lot of people like them. At some point atleast.
