That’s news to me that there’s actual toxins in shrimp from toxic waste

I found this though
Occurrence of Chemical Contaminants in Seafood and Variability of Contaminant Levels - Seafood Safety - NCBI Bookshelf.

I think some seafood has high levels of arsenic if I’m not mistaken. I’ve also heard something about mercury. Not sure if this is true.

Yeah it seems to be heavy metals.
Probably just can’t eat too much of it.
A little should be fine…

All fish has some levels of mercury.

Mercury is a naturally occurring heavy metal that can build up in fish.
Fish and shellfish contain traces of mercury, but larger fish that have lived longer have the highest levels. These fish include: Swordfish, Shark, King mackerel, Tilefish.

Yes, heavy metals. Doesen’t mean you can’t eat seafood, but shouldn’t eat too much. And it depends what seafood it is. Like tuna should be ok two times a week. I think cod, salmon, mackerel and these type of fish have little pollutants, so should be ok to eat more.

I eat some, but not a lot. More if it is related to being a prairie dweller.

We eat a lot of seafood,

But that’s what’s most available to us being right on the coast.

All the food is unfit to eat.

ALL OF IT.

Yeah you’re probably fine

I really like sushi but I don’t eat the raw stuff.

Ended up in the hospital once with colitis after eating seafood.

I make my own with canned crab.

I tried that. Works well. Same with imitation crab legs.

The other day I ate shrimps from costco ready to eat not frozen then I got bad headache and diarrhea, must be bacteria.

I did see something on the news where it was making people sick.
