Doing really well, should I?

I’m currently on 2 antipsychotics and I’m doing really well. Should I try to get off one of them. I don’t think I need two. I’m also on lithium and Prozac.

It could be a good idea, but try to reduce one first of all. But you can continue with these two if you’re doing well, and enjoy your life like that!

Lithium is not an antipsychotic. It is a mineral that is used to treat bi-polar depression. It works completely differently.

I would ask your doctor. Chances are they didnt prescribe it for no reason. None of us have the authority nor knowledge to give you advice on what medication you should be taking

I think if you’re doing well, you should report that to your pdoc and see if they think weaning off one of the meds is appropriate. It may be the meds that are making you so stable though so you definitely need to be under a psychiatrist’s care in the process

I know about lithium, it’s the clozapine and Invega I’m talking about.

I’m also taking two AP’S and a mood stabiliser, and in the past my pdoc tried taking either of the two AP’S away individually but in the end I need both and the mood stabiliser - all three work together.

But yes discuss it with your pdoc.
