amazing people… share common root with ancient Egyptians … use similar or the same cosmology symbols… they have massive knowledge from ancient times… uninterrupted direct lineage… apparently some families can list the names of the ones who came before them…all the way back to origin… how ridiculous is that… how far can you list your elders? i understand after a certain point it probably dips into mythos but they can still recall their elders far enough back to even get to the mythos part…
my history is fragmented and vague… I can only go back to great grandfathers and grandmothers uninterrupted… then it jumps to a civil war soldier who left a daily diary… then it jumps to a clan of Vikings who captured a german castle and still own it… on the other side I have nothing past great grand parents names…
members of the dogon tribe should be brought to Egypt to retranslate the ancient glyphs… they share symbols and their symbols are not simple letters… each one conveys an idea so its actually a sentence… where we translate 2 symbols to mean year… the dogon translate it as 1 complete cycle of the earth around the sun… same thing kind of… but one conveys massively more info… the symbols look like orbit a dot on a line that hooks around and the symbol for the sun… i want more,… lots more… anyway i hope the dogon tribes info gets written down in full…
def agree… i really enjoy origin stories though… i like to hear how our people think we started ive never read an origin story that wasn’t interesting …
Good question. I know for certain my great grand-parents on one side came from Mexico, others - Native America and Canada. And the rest is kind of a neat soup of Celtic and Viking heritage. (We have that Viking in common ).
I am very mixed lol The funny thing is that Mexican/Latino is what I mostly am. And I am only 1/4th of that. But if you saw me on the street you probably couldn’t tell.
we share Spanish ancestors too… your latino elders and my Filipino elders were both conquered by the Spanish… im also 1/4 flip but you could not tell other than my my eye shape is inbetween asain and european… i was a blonde blue eyed kid… hair went dark but my beard has red only on the chin and blonde is mixed in… the rest of my hair is black…
The Spaniards tried to out-breed the Aztecs. When they conquered Moctezuma (or Montezuma - please don’t strike me down oh holy ruler! lol) there is an Indian legend that he never gave up his land or people. But history tells us another way.
But they ended up just integrating with the Native culture.
You have cool features it sounds like. My eyes are hazel and I have dark brown hair. And my beard is white, blonde, black, and brown. My ancestors were like “We’re marking your face!” lol.
Aztecs mayans Chinese Egyptian dogons druids sumerians all spent vast amounts of time watching the skys … im sure there are more…the Nazca lines may be star aligned…i think the greeks are on the list… i know they say we all came from migrations out of Africa and despite vast distance between some of these cultures they have parallel thoughts and stories on certain things… the morning star Sirius seems very important to a lot of them… a few of the ancient ones wrote Sirius has a companion star… how would they know its not visible to the human eye… theres a lot of questions and no answers… how can groups of ancient people know things that modern science only recently discovered… they didn’t have telescopes or satelites… Sirius was such a big deal to the ancients it was renamed the devil star to counter the hold it had on people…
You really know your ancient cultures! Very cool. I can’t remember if I read this, or if my Grandmother taught it to me, but it’s an ancient Aztec saying that’s somewhere along the lines of – “If you can’t find your way home, follow the stars.”
Aztecs have very cool stories… i cannot remember if it was the Aztecs or the mayans possibly both… their oldest structures were said to have been there from an even older civilization that came from across the ocean… the mayans had a golden disc said to have been given to them by the old ones… it contained important human knowledge … the old ones looked similar to the Spanish so the mayans thought they were returning the disc to its owners… to show them they had kept it all that time and never forgot… the Spaniards melted it down and turned it into coins… human heritage artifacts should never be turned into coins… i also believe the Vatican library has human heritage information they are hording… what right does anyone have to withhold heritage artifacts and information… i wonder who else has relics from antiquity they are hiding… ohh a really cool artifact from ancient times the Chinese have or had… is a human head in a jar…that would bite at you and watch you if you got close to it… if nothing else it is a very cool story…
This is interesting about the golden disc. Hmmmm. Never heard of it before. I do know that the Mayans and Aztecs shared a lot of science, religion and medicine. And that the Mayans would travel to Mexico a lot. Fascinating.
they get mixed up in my head I don’t think I know the Aztec gods at all… but if it has the depth of the mayans stories like I would assume it does I bet its amazing…
Yes, if I am not mistaken they shared a lot of similarities in their Gods. I think their calendars are very similar too. You’ve got my wheels in me brain spinning!
if you split the stream of water from your sink you can take an led light bulb and place a wire into each side of the water flow and the light bulb will light up about every 20 seconds… if your water source is hit by sun light before you split it… it is far more effective… of course larger amounts of charged water produce larger charge… if you had a clear tank that feed into 2 copper pipes wrapped in wire connected to car batteries… adding a pump to recycle the water back into the system… I bet you coud power your house…
