It’s a good idea to tell your doctor everything. That way, he can prescribe meds that actually treat your condition.
It does sound like early signs of psychosis…definitely get it checked.
My friend who has bipolar with psychotic features first started hearing voices like that too, people calling her name when no one was around.
You definitely won’t get hospitalized. The only way to get forced into the hospital is if you tell someone that you are going to commit suicide or hurt someone else physically. That’s it. Tell your P-doc for sure. It took me a few years to get up the courage to tell mine. Once your doc knows she can properly diagnose and treat you. I hear voices too. All the time. I have also confronted a person whose voice I heard but he ignored my e-mail. Whatever…about me but thanks for reaching out. And that thing about “Secret agents” I have had the same idea in 2010. I talked about it another post. I was inpatient on a commitment and I “KNEW” my roommate was an FBI agent sent in to rescue me. I believed that with all my heart. To complicate things I have always been psychic so when the paranoia started it was really hard for me to tell the difference between real and fake.
My hallucinating has stopped with medication thankfully. But generally they said very negative things, usually telling me to commit suicide.
I would be sure to tell your doctor and start an antipsychotic before they get worse and hospitalization is more likely. Its good that yours are subtle for now.
Hearing voices sucks. You want to tell your pdoc so that if you need it they can prescribe something to handle the voices. Don’t wait until things get bad enough to do what I did which is commit suicide.
I don’t thinlk its szbut go to a therapist for his her opinion
