Tea with honey helps me relax a bit. Definitely isn’t a replacement of meds but in conjunction seems to help
Mild depression can be treated by comforting things and self care. Tea is comforting and healthy so could be counted as one way to help! Warm tea on a cold day always makes me feel nice
Caffeine helps 152030
It could be the caffeine in the tea. Caffeine boosts your energy which is good thing for a depressed patient. It is possible that it is addressing some degree of caffeine withdrawal or just alleviating mild symptoms of fatigue, depressed mood or irritability. Tea contains nearly the same caffeine as a typical serving of a cola beverage.
Yes, I think tea does help. If you’re drinking black tea the small amount of caffeine will give you a boost. And if you’re drinking herbal, like in the evening, there’s something so lovely about the ritual of getting yourself a tea. Everything from heating the water to steeping the tea, to smelling the aroma and then finally sipping it as so soothing. So yes I thing tea is wonderful for depression.
Every night for a couple weeks I have a small teapot of chamomile tea and it makes me tired and relaxed, and I have less chance òf freaking out and not being able to sleep.
I’ve been a fairly religious tea drinking for several years. Never did a thing for my severe depression. Not to say that it wouldn’t help for mild depression - maybe it does. However, if you enjoy it then it is worth doing. Anything you enjoy is generally worth doing and good at staving off those depressive symptoms. Exercise is also very good for depressed symptoms. Releases endorphines and boosts the mood.
Tea is very comforting it definitely perks you up
I wouldn’t be without tea
An interesting research …
Engaging into hobby u like helps, do some easy hobby
Currently I have mild or moderate depression, I have been drinking tea and it helps, but after a few hours my depression is back, it is rainy and cloudy and this my depression may be related to this dark season. I remember I posted something about depression also last year at this time of the year. I am almost sure it is seasonal depression. But I’ll survive and if it gets worse I can always go to my psych clinic to get depression meds.
