Does olanzapine make you sleep more?

I slept for 14h straight and woke up with a headache. I think it’s olanzapine causing this.

Yes, I was on 40mg of Olanzapine for 17 years. All I did was sleep, and when I was awake I was drinking like 10-15 cups of coffee a day to stay with it. It knocked me on my ass.

I started taking it as my first AP, but i found it really stimulated my appetite (and i put on a lot of weight), and i found it somewhat sedating. I would sleep in and feel tired during the day. Glad i’m not on it anymore.

i dont sleep that much on it. i used to years ago but this time on it i even have trouble falling asleep. im on zoloft also tho and consume caffeine alot more than i did when i was on it years ago

Olanzapine for me was very sedating and increased my appetite so had many late night meals…

I slept 10 to 12 hours a day on Olanzapine 10mg. It is a good drug, but I had to give it up due to blood test results. I ate a lot too.

The biggest problem was my appetite could not be satisfied no matter what or how much I ate. Nowadays I take just a tiny dose of it as a sleep aid. Latuda is my ap. I think I needed the sleep but I was younger and now it would be bad for my health to sleep so much. Also now my metabolism is lower
