Sleeping too much on Olanzapine

I’ve had back to back sleeps of 13 hours. Does anyone else on Olanzapine sleep too much? That’s 26 hours over the last 2 nights which is crazy to me.

It stil takes me a while to fall asleep, but once I eventually do, i’m out cold for a long time.

I used to sleep like that when I was on 10mg, except if I had to get up for work.

Don’t think it can be fixed except pushing yourself or reducing dosage. Maybe 7.5mg could work better for you.

your one-minute sleeping next-minute insomnia

@TheCanuk yeah, did same on olanzapine and quietapine. On quietapine months back Would sleep 2 days in a row at some point, I had hibernated like a week straight

The non sedating ones like ability, caplyta, etc I wake up earlier.

Most nights I wake up 5am ish to 8:00am on caplyta

I sleep 12½h on average. Sometimes even more than that.

I waste a lot of time sleeping. I hate my sleep. It has utterly ruined my life.

I take Lybalvi and sleep like 12 hours a day every day. It’s better than Vraylar for my psychosis.

I just stayed up all night to fall asleep at 9 pm, then didnt wake up until 6 pm the next day (today) ruining the whole thing.

I’m on Olanzapine lol. I sleep a lot if I don’t set multiple alarms. One of the problems is my bed and the new downstairs couch are just too comfortable.

Seems like its a common thing for us on Olanzapine to sleep a sh-it ton. I wish I slept for 9 hours instead of 13.

I would love to sleep 13 hours straight, I’m lucky on a good night to get 5 hours sleep.

I agree. I used to sleep 12-13 hours for the first 7 years after I got diagnosed. Then I had 9 years of horrific insomnia. I probably slept 3 hours on average, and it’s debatable if those 3 hours could be called sleep. It’s the worst I have experienced in my life. I was lucky to survive it. Luckily sleep started improving 2 years ago. Now I get much more sleep, and sleep quality is much better, although I’m still struggling.

I probably ought to lawsuit drugmakers or doctors, but I don’t think the stress of the process is worth it.
