İ have some ocd caused by my teenager trauma.but im suspected that my ocd thoughts transformed to politic paranoia and delusions.my question is does ocd type thoughts tend to transform paranoias?
It’s all pretty much in the pot so to speak. I had ocd symptoms and behaviors before psychosis but I wouldn’t say they cause it. They are common though I think for most dxed with sz.

Yeah they are commonly seen in sz/sza patients to varrying degrees. I have full blown ocd as well as sza. My ocd started in childhood and developed sza at 21.

Life is competitive. Leading me to want to be perfect. I relate perfectionist to OCD. But then maybe I don’t understand what OCD is.

People with ocd habe a high degree of perfectionism but not every perfectionist has ocd. Ocd is some type of intrusive thought or impulse and some action or thought process to nuetralize the anxiety the intrusive thoughts cause
Intrusive thoughts are usually ego dystonic.

Trauma can cause ocd yes, but its not necessary to develop it either.

Yes OCD is a delusional disorder.

Not true. Delusional disorder is a psychotic disorder, ocd is an anxiety disorder. Some people with ocd have no insight and cross into the delusional rhealm to some extent but most people with ocd know their fears are irrational.

Nevermind you’re right. I looked it up and only 4% of OCD patients are delusional.
