Does Medicare cover psychiatrist?

I am waiting on Medicaid, but wondering if Medicare part b covers the psychiatrist?

Yes. Medicare pays 80%.

You must also Get a supplement policy, that is what covers the prescription drugs, plus primary doc copayment is $10, specialists are $40 copayment. Otherwise youā€™ll be billed the 20%.

I called aarp to help find the supplement al policy from Aetna. Each state offers different policies.

Probably until you acquire a supplemental policy, like from Aetna

Medicaid covers the 20%, I donā€™t qualify for Medicaid

I applied, but waiting for it.

Thanks

I just reached the ā€œcatastrophicā€ stage with my prescription Medicaid/Medicare coverage. The bill for 6 months of meds has reached over $9000. I will now have no copayā€™s.

Omg thatā€™s a ā€˜notā€™ like! Thereā€™s no button for not liking it.
Isnā€™t that amazing though, thatā€™s like purchasing a new car

Luckily out of that $9000 Iā€™ve only paid something like $60 in copays thanks to Medicaid.

I would have to pay $47 for each brand name med with the supplement policy from Aetna.

Vraylar costs $600 for 30 days retail price. $600 x 12 is $7200!

Generic meds cost me $3.

I donā€™t have Medicaid because I worked and my disability from social security exceeds the threshold to qualify. Drives me crazier because when Iā€™m most vulnerable, in the hospital, costs me a fortune because everyone behaves like I do have Medicaid when I donā€™t have it.

I have been slammed with bills that are impossible for me to pay, I spend hours on the phone sometimes trying to figure this out.

According to the printout I got from my health insurance company I chose through medicare:

20mg of Saphris costs about $1858.54 a month (usually medicare and medicaid each pay a half, I paid a nominal copay until I met my deductible) although it seems to vary month to month all the way up to $2035.14 one month when Medicaid paid the whole cost. Also the Lamotrigine ER is about $300 a month while the regular Lamotrigine is about $5.

Omg Iā€™ve tried saphris too, but I get free samples from the doctor office of the saphris.

Thatā€™s insanity - the price of these drugs
