Does it ever feel like the whole world is against you?

Such a stressful day today. People saying weird things about me. I honestly am a nice peaceful guy.

I try to realize the whole world doesn’t evolve around me. And I know it doesn’t.

But today it just felt like everyone in the whole world hates me.

Sorry everyone, just needed to vent.

I feel hatred towards me. But there’s nothing I can do about it so I ignore it.

Yeah makes sense. Thank you.

yes i have this too, everyone seems to hate me without even knowing me
its exhausting
I was in a store the other day and this woman just glared at me and I tried to ignore her but had to just turn and look at her she made me so uncomfortable and then she looked so disgusted.

I know exactly how you feel. Where I live in the Midwest the social mores are very bizarre.

i feel like even though I spent most of my life in America I will never understand or fit in.

I been in this current state -MN for over 15 years and I still dont get it. Ive lived invarious places in the US but I
here is weird and i really liked CA the best

CA is nice. People pretty much do their own thing, and no one minds.

Sometimes it does seem like the whole world is against me. That is why I often tell the whole world to go take a flying leap - silently, of course, to myself.

lol I dig your philosophy @crimby

Yeah, it’s called having a bad day. My friend told me that I take things to the extreme. We’re walking down the street and three teenagers ask me if I could spare a dollar or two for them to buy a coke for themselves. It pissed me off. These three teens were dressed nice and apparently able-bodied and taking it easy. While there I was, working at Sears unloading trucks for a living and going to school at age 33 despite having paranoid schizophrenia. I told them no and gave them a hard look and we kept walking on. But I started ■■■■■■■■ about it to my friend and I didn’t let it go for half a block.

Anyway, my point is, that you are wrong and you know it. The world does not hate you. 99.99% of the world does not know you for one thing. The people you see every day do not know you. They are involved in their own lives and they have nothing personal against you unless you are bothering them or causing trouble.
I have to say here that I have the same problem sometimes. Most people we meet are either indifferent to us or neutral about us. In reality, when we go about our lives, there really are going to be some people that hate us. But there are going to be people who like us too. But there are people who hate everybody. So avoid them or be a little cautious about them.

But yeah, you probably got up this morning and you got it in your head that people hate you and then you took it to the extreme and came to the conclusion that everybody hates you. We all have days like that.

Personally, I am working on having a more balanced life. I’m tired of feeling over-confident one day and then having zero confidence the next day. And the esoteric truth is that on one level everybody is alone in this world. Everybody faces that at sometime in their lives. Even If you are married or have lots of friends there will be times when they can’t help you and you will have to face the world alone There’s times when you have to do things for yourself.

Yes

Persecutory delusions. I have them too. I like to beat the imaginary people by being awesome. It works because whatever my motivation is, it makes awesome stuff happen.

I disagree that most people don’t hate sz people. People have a tendency to look down on those who are different and there is much stigma against mental illness. I feel hatred everywhere I go because
of stigma. I remember reading BLACK LIKE ME in high school and the man talked about the hate stare from white people. People often use words like crazy and nuts derogatively even in front of me.
But I don’t let it stop me; I just try to ignore it.

The problem is people can know you some - if you are tense, if you are extremely poor, if you are very wealthy and have been for generations, if you are scared, etc. We are not totally transparent, but some things we cannot hide. Have you ever read the short story “The Tell Tale Heart”, by Edgar Allen Poe?

Yes, I have read POE. People can read your face, hands, body language and if you’re different they often feel better by putting you down. Most teenagers want to conform and the result leaves nerds
who are bullied like I was in high school. If they see someone who is different often they will put them down because deep down they are afraid themselves.

No, what’s it about?

It’s very short, I suggest you read it. It’s about a guy whose guilt shows and it’s a give away to police. To remember better, I think his heart is pounding so loudly that he confesses.

I don’t know really but sometimes possibly in the past it could have I remember 2 delusions of persecution or something maybe relatable but I don’t care to explain.

No, just France, Bolivia and Zimbawae.
