Does anyone’s meds cause them to tremble and have Parkinson’s type symptoms? I’ve been dropping things. It’s hard to walk without my legs buckeling and my jaw spasms when I’m talking. Anyone else experience this?
I don’t have any of that. Have you spoken to your psychiatrist about it yet?
No, haven’t spoken to him yet. I will let him know what’s going on next week. I am thinking medication infused dystonia or tardive. I had that with Perphenazine.
I have before. Now I have no symptoms because I take benztropine.
Same thing, had eyelid tremors and akathisia.
Benzatropine 2-4mg stopped all that.
@LilyoftheValley @Aziz I’ll ask my doc about this.
Yes talk with your psychiatrist as soon as possible @Cici2.
Lithium made me shake very badly
Cogentin will probably help.
I’ve had shaky hands since starting meds. Been on multiple, it’s more of when I’m holding something like a fork or screw driver.
Tell this to your doctor right away, the muscle spasms sound like dystonia. Generally to my knowledge meds are discontinued when this side effect appears. (Not all meds but you’ll be switched APs most likely) Those are very serious side effects. The most I get is a light infrequent trembling in my hands or mouth which is pretty typical extrapyramidal symptoms that aren’t indicative of anything serious.
I had a tremor and severe restlessness. I told the doctor and we reduced meds as soon as possible. It got rid of the issues.
I experienced a clenched jaw and mask-like (feels like you can’t easily smile) face features which caused me to contact doc
Yes. My hands tremble because of medication.
It could be EPS side effects of antipsychotic. Artane can help.
