I’ll call my doctor and ask him too. When I put on the full face mask right before I go to bed it’s fine, it fits snug and there’s no leaks, no problems. Then I’ll wake up 3 or 4 hours later and the mask won’t fit, it leaks and I can spend a half hour or an hour trying to make it fit so there’s no leaks. Sometimes I succeed and get a good nights sleep, other times I fool with it for an hour and lose sleep. Apparently the mask or headgear slips while I’m sleeping and it’s so hard to get it back on properly. Anyone else have this problem? It happens every night I use the machine. Maybe when I wake up after 3 or 4 hours get up out of bed and start over and take off the whole headgear and put it back on properly?
When i used to use a CPAP i had this issue. It was solved by changing the type of mask i was using, going from one with the hose coming from the bottom to one where the hose came from the top of my head. It’s cuz i was rolling around in my sleep and yanking on it…with the change in masks i could roll around and it wouldn’t pull on it anymore. I would ask your doc if you could try different configurations until you find one that works all night for you.
Good tip @WhiteRaven, thanks.
My husband’s full face mask slips if he isn’t shaven. Any bit of unshaven facial hair makes his mask slip in the middle of the night.
Also, these masks have several sizes, so maybe you need a different sized mask if it is happening every night.
I wake up in the morning and it’s completely off I hate it
