Does anyone on this forum have a swimming pool?

It’s becoming a status symbol here and with hotter summers more and more people want a swimming pool.

I don’t have one but I was wondering if anyone has one or at their condominium complex?

(Pre-sz) I lived in an apartment that had one and I went swimming each morning before work.

Happy memories.

They’re extremely uncommon in my part of Canada and having one is an affectation of rich people who need to show off their wealth.

Omg a swimming pool would be my number one priority if I was rich. Would be so useful.

In Brussels the homeless people use the public swimming pool to wash themselves :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

My sister has one, but she lives in Arizona where it’s necessary to have one. Temps usually range from 105-115 F (40-46 C) in the summer.

Must be really hard in that weather for people on some APs.

Since I’m on Invega I can’t handle well anything above 30°C/90°F

Same here, big reason why I don’t go out there haha at least in the summer. 90 F is very, very hot to me.

Over the 4th of July weekend. My daughter threw a party over at her house. They put up a pool for the kids. And proceeded to trash the yard. After a week, it passed by. It was time for mowing the yard. The swimming pool had gotten rainwater in it. It all kinds of algae and Mold. I picked up the yard, drain the pool. Folded it up and stuck it in a polycard. I question my daughter. If they were going to come back for the pool. She said they promised to pick it up the next day. But never did. Pools are a lot of work. And a lot of fun.

@shutterbug doesn’t have a pool because he’s too busy practicing his archaeology

As a boy my family lived in apartment complexes and we always had pools.

Kids just don’t seem to get tired of playing in the water!
