I dont know if its the meds or stomach issues but there are times during the day I feel a bit dizzy - lightheaded - nothing serious but enough for me to take notice.
Anyone else feel lightheaded or dizzy? - for me it happens pretty frequently - I have a feeling that its med related, I am going to bring it up to my pdoc and family doctor when I see him
I do feel dizzy… from time to time… it could be a lot of things…
Just before a hit of feeling out of body… (depersonalization)
A drastic temperature change…
A cold or allergies giving me inner ear problems… that will knock me dizzy fast.
Swimmers ear… (probably not happening in your case)
I have a history of personal earthquakes… it feels like a small earthquake… only no one else feels it but me.
I get dizzy a lot actually…
I’m glad your going to talk to your doc… I hope this clears up soon.
I have syncope. Used to pass out a lot. Get very dizzy it’s a neurological condition. I asked my doc since I’ve had it all my life if that means I was born with mental illness and he said no.
I had some dizziness over the weekend sitting on my bed. I wasn’t doing anything; just sitting there. I have been off my meds. It may be related to sinuses, allergies, or an inner ear infection. I haven’t felt dizzy in the last day or two. My mother’ doctor told her once it had something to do with a piece of the inner ear breaking loose and that it was nothing serious. It just happens to people. I think, if it continues, you might want to speak to a doctor or pdoc, though. It could be from a medication or something. Take care. I am positive you will start feeling better soon. Most of our bad feelings, etc. disappear as quickly as they come.
I’ve felt dizzy while starting up medications like Olanzapine and Ability, but after I got used to them the feeling passed. It usually took a couple of weeks to get past that point each time.
At doses above 3 mg Risperdal increased my heart rate.
Even at my current dose of 2.5 mg I still think that it is screwing with my heart in some way.
It was never like this in the past - I am going to bring it up with my pdoc
I used to get dizzy because of HBP medicine. HBP medicine can make you dizzy because of low blood pressure. My ear doctor said Meniers disease, a disease of the inner ear which I had, can make you dizzy.
I am on Risperdal and it does sometimes happen when standing suddenly, yes.
Its called Orthostatic Hypotension - some of the antipsychotics do cause this.
But I will feel lightheaded other times also
