Meds dont work for me.
I don’t think there’s a time limit on it really. It all depends on when you learn to manage and lessen your symptoms, and how well your brain recovers
No I meant that was my dx the last 5 years. It was some other sz before that.

Yes I used to have most or all of those symptoms. I was diagnosed sz. Luckily for me I found a med that worked. I still have paranormal ideation but I try to ignore it.
I’m not having any of those symptoms on Abilify. Just that my thoughts processes are on the slow side and sleep problems.

what does of Abilify are you on? Im on 10mgs and its not working. I am talking on Monday to my psychiatrist to increase the dose or get on something else. I am slipping into depression and mania as well. I seem to be lost, existential and mental fatigue. Considering Vraylar but I am so scared of medications changing who i am.
I just switched to Abilify last May. My pdoc started me with 5mg, but I started hallucinating and getting paranoid. After it was upped to 10mg I’ve been ok. @everhopeful takes 15mg I believe.

I was on 5mg Risperdal and 10mg of Zyprexa while not taking Risperidone. In 2008 I was on 20mg of Zyprexa when I got out of the hospital.
Yes I get a spirit that pops up sometimes. They feel real. Do you get something like that? I don’t know if that’s something you can call a symptom

There are many people who feel the presence of someone who passed away and they are not called sz or psychotic. I think it’s just ‘normal.’

I was on Zyprexa from 2008 to 2011 when I came down with diabetes. I went on Risperidone then. In November 2019 I switched back to Zyprexa 10mg due to low testosterone and ED. My weight and blood sugar shot up, so I went on Abilify May of this year.
My blood sugar is near normal now, and I’m losing weight. My anxiety is gone. The thing I didn’t know what I was having mood swings. These went away. I mostly noticed being down was gone. I’m not sure about the highs.
Originally I was diagnosed SzA, but that was charged in the hospital to paranoid Sz.
I don’t know what you mean by mental stability
