i don’t like to drive at night, but there is job i applied for working 11am-7pm monday through friday. pick/pack in a warehouse. i hate the oncoming car lights at night, and don’t recognize things like in the day. i used to drive at night no problem but it’s something i haven’t done in years. anyways, it would only affect me on my way home from work. in a month or two it will be dark at 7pm so i don’t know if i want the job or not.
I honestly don’t remember the last time i drove at night. I’m not opposed to it, i just don’t do it enough to feel very comfortable. I don’t even drive much during the day (it’s been weeks)
I don’t like driving at night, I have strabismus and don’t see well, bad depth perception.
I rarely go out at night, winter time sometimes early morning is still dark, so have to drive then in the dark
I don’t like driving at night or in the dark.
I rarely drive during the day as well.
I hate driving at night. I don’t see well at all, even with my glasses.
I also hate driving at night - all those headlights blinding me and the safety of being out at night. I also don’t like driving in the rain. And even worse - when it rains at night - awful!! Like driving on a lake. I get scared because I can’t see the lines on the road.
Stuff of nightmares…
Have you tried anti glare glasses? It might help
Everything is blurry for me too at night. The shadows at sunset start to play with me and it gets worse in the dark so I just bought these.
I can still drive at night no problem.
I can drive at night with my glasses. I don’t like to. Too many deer and bears here.
It’s definitely a challenge, but I only go 25 miles per hour anyway so it’s doable. I couldn’t deal with fast, wet, night driving with lots of lights and traffic. I would be too anxious.
I’m okay with driving at night in town and in the city. I dislike driving at night in the countryside because of the amount of wildlife that find their way onto the road in front of you. It has gotten worse over the years because the government curtailed hunting to appease urban voters who don’t have to cope with their roads being overrun by varmints at night.
I think dry eyes is a side effect of most antipsychotics. I use systane drops during the day and the gel at night before bed. Helps a ton with the glare for me.
How do those glasses work? Ive seen something similar advertised here before.
Well I have only seen them advertised. I will let you know if they work when I get them. They are supposed to reduce the glare and improve night driving
I love driving at night. I did pizzadeliveries till late. These days i was forced to give up my driverlicense and travel in the public. Sometimes i am very paranoid. I had a friend who needed a car because traveling in public stressed him too much. Sometimes i have to really pull myself together to travel in public cause i don’t feel safe. There were a few incidences at busstops where i used my skills to avoid a fight.
@FatMama you can get prescription glasses for as cheap as $7 at Zenni optical
I really hate driving at night, especially when there’s precipitation. The streets here are poorly marked, and I get confused about where I’m going.
