Does anybody else not drive at night?

There was this one woman who had epilepsy really bad. She was always falling into a seizure. She was a substitute teacher, and she had to drive fifty miles to get to where she taught school. She said she had seizures while she was on the road, and had woken up in a field. She had a really bad seizure, and she fell and busted her nose in her kitchen. She bled to death. It might have been a blessing in disguise, because it was just a matter of time before she blanked out and piled into a family car. I know she would have felt terrible about that. The law probably would have sanctioned her heavily if that happened.

Being cross eyed with astigmatism isn’t a good night driving recipe. I’ve hit at least two deer while driving at night. We need a longer hunting season rather than just a few weeks.

I don’t mind driving around town at night with streetlights at 30 mph though.

My neighbor had epilepsy while driving, he was unconscious and hit many cars. Some cars were completely damaged and one guy was in a coma. They gave him his driving license after a year but now he doesn’t want to drive for his own and for others safety. I don’t understand why the police always let him drive.

People with epilepsy shouldn’t be allowed to drive IMO

I rarely drive at night. I don’t even have headlights right now.

My husband has epilepsy quite bad too and as a result I have to drive him where he wants to go. It’s a massive challenge but I have observed that if he got a seizure in the day, he won’t get another one so I sometimes let him drive alone if he has already got one. Not often though.

I like being out late at night. I like driving like at 1:00 or 2:00 am when there’s hardly any other cars on the road. Just listening to the radio and going wherever I feel like. I took a trip into the mountains at like two in the morning a couple of months ago. Or about a month ago I drove late at night to where I grew up and just enjoyed seeing the old, familiar places that I used to know so well but are now changed.

Since Covid started I have tunnel vision when driving over bridges, through tunnels or on roads with telephone poles or structures on one or both sides and its way worse for me at night so I avoid it. Apparently it’s caused by anxiety and stress which makes sense since my heart is usually racing, I’m gripping the wheel and I’m all sweaty.

That’s commendable, but he shouldn’t have been driving in the first place.
