do you think it matures you
I think to a certain extent.
I think it does because it is a struggle. Everyone struggles and goes through obstacles. And with struggle we learn and there is growth. Growth is maturity.
That said, sometimes I just want to stick my head in the sand and forget what’s going on. That can’t be a mature response to the world. But I think it’s forced me to challenge my assumptions, which is a good thing.
Its made me mature honestly.
I feel like it’s had the effect of making me more immature, personally. Or rather, it’s kept me from growing up in some respects. I guess it would be a mixed bag depending on who you ask. My family would say I’m incredibly immature, but my friends would argue I’m rather mature for my age and always have been.
But I also had to mature quickly when my mother got sick and I had to start taking over the household duties, including paying the bills while she stayed in her room playing on her laptop or in the bathroom reading until she died.
