I know. My lover as we used to say tested positive for HIV December 1987 when we were in our late 20’s. We got him on the first HIV medication that came out of clinical trials, and he lived until December 2007, exactly 20 years.
My friend told me by all rights from the 1980’s he should have had HIV but never tested positive. It’s the same with me.
This one dude I knew (we were never together but still a great guy) was positive. I think of him here and there. He got to live in a mansion overlooking the lake but he was with an abusive partner.
I’d like to think he is still alive but even with the new med advances not sure if I’ll ever run into him again.
@firemonkey just posted a link on Sz genes. I kinda wonder if the Sz genes helps keep you from getting HIV. That would explain why my friend and I didn’t come down with it, even though our partners did.
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever met someone with Sz who has HIV? I’ve only heard of one woman with HIV at my psych clinic. I don’t know if she had Sz though.
id agree with that statement in my experience. it depends what you mean by looks as well lol ive read that women prefer men often with larger brow ridges and wider jaws things like that which isnt exactly pretty but its evolutionarily beneficial lol
i think in the reptilian/more basic parts of the human brain (generally speaking ofcourse) men tend to look for red lips (good bloodflow), clear eyes things like that whereas women look for traits of a good protecter, larger muscles, thick neck. someone who could survive a physical attack. And ofcourse intelligence etc. but i was speaking merely physical appearance.
Oh the good ones are suggestive where you can’t be sure. When I was 19 the woman I slept with asked me if I would like to come to her house this evening and fu** my brains out. Not suggestive at all.
Drugs mess up a pretty face over time. Hard drugs age people too. I saw a guy in the store today and thought “that dude is on drugs”. Sometimes you can’t tell though based on looks.
I guess you are pretty young. I had lots of sex back in the 1980’s with HIV out there. At my age I would rather be friends than to just have sex and that’s it. But if you’re young it’s different. Just be careful.
One of my friend from school had crush on me. Once while chatting with her I told her that she was too attractive for me and found her out of my league. And that I liked her friend.
Wonder how she took it? Now looking back on it I feel like an idiot.
