I think in my life time there will be a cure I’m barely 24 if I think in the next 20 years something will pop up
Let’s hope so. I will be really old then if not dead already.
I think there will be a cure or at least a vastly better treatment in 20 years. The future’s bright.
We’ve already got min-101 on the horizon.
No cure but way better meds and treatment. I expect a cure in 100 years. Maybe earlier but a complete cure and outcome like polio where everyone is vaccinated and it is wiped out.
That’s what I thought when I was 24. Now I’m 50 and we’re no closer. The three life changers in all this time for me were:
- Geodon
- Sarcosine (supplement)
- Amyloban 3399 (very new supplement)
Don’t expect a cure before I die, but my head hasn’t been this good for years.
There will be no cure in my lifetime
Me too. 15151515151515
I think it 'll be the last thing to be discovered out of all diseases
I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but I don’t think there will be a cure. Now, I think there will be better treatment, but I don’t believe schizophrenia is an illness that is easily curable. Definitely with the limited funding schizophrenia research gets, as opposed to cancer which I think will be cured very soon in our lifetime, because of the funding it gets.
I’ll either be dead or in a nursing home with dementia. I hope for all you young people it happens in your lifetime.
I think cancer and dementia/Alzheimer will be cured first.
We’ll probably have to rely or wait on zuckerberg’s foundation to cure us, which make take 50-100 years as a guesstimate.
Well, scientists are working on antipsychotics that help treat cognitive symptoms, so we’re close to a much better treatment.
However, the cause of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder is yet to be discovered. In that sense we haven’t really progressed much in 50 years. We are still very much in the dark. Is it a syndrome? Is it a brain disease?
All we have is hope that a cure will be found any time soon. But, that could be tomorrow. We need more funding for research. There is a lot being done. Just not enough, at the moment.
Yup. I agree with you.
I don’t think there’ll be an overall cure.
But being able to either prevent it through crispr or reverse the effects might be possible in the future, who knows.
I’m sure there will be better treatments in the future with less side effects.
Not unless its a long and expensive cure.
This is such a complex disease I think.
I really doubt it.
I hope I go into remission thou… Isn’t that basically mean u recovered
For what?..………………
