Do you stick out in public? Like a sore thumb?

i saw this lady a couple days ago at the grocery store and I couldn’t help notice how she looked like she was tweaking. But she was well dressed and well groomed, so later that day I thought she was maybe just MI and sticks out.

I think that’s how I come across. I’m always well dressed and clean shaven these days, but I feel like I make ‘unnatural’ movements that would make me stick out.

I try my hardest to fit in. Usually I only have to fit in at the gym in the locker rooms, and standing in line at the grocery store.

I have TD, so I’m sure my twitches make me stick out a bit. Also my size, I’m tall and a little overweight.

But other than that I think I’m pretty neutral.
At least until I get my hands on some hairdye again

Yeah i stick out like a sore thumb. 6 foot 5 and like a bean pole with half a left ear and no teeth in my gob! lol. I dont help my situation tho - by going down the corner shop in my slippers when the school kids are out tho, and getting the odd snigger.

Im done with the public at large - and quite happy in my man-cave (sanctuary) indoors!.

The “spirit” that possesses me used to show all kinds of weird behavior when I was in the hospital, even in front of others. Now it only does weird things when I’m alone, and behaves like a normal person in public.

I’m sure I do, and it’s the illness for me.

Feeling the crowd watch me, thinking they’re talking about me, judging me. It puts me on edge, I become awkward, do strange things.

It can be obvious to people I’m struggling in public.

I often think people can tell I’m odd by the way I walk and my mannerisms. It was worse where I lived before because the population was over 10x as large .

I guess people can tell when my stepdaughter takes me grocery shopping , because I’m awkward when it comes to manoeuvring myself and not getting in people’s way . I don’t know about other ways . Maybe the fact someone is guiding me round the aisles is a big indicator .

I just wish I was prettier so that I get looks on the street, stick out that way haha!

But generally I dress a bit scruffy and my hair is a bit scruffy.

I dress super casual.
Old baggy jeans, worn out shoes, t shirt, and baggy hoodie and baseball style cap.

My brother says that I dress like a homeless person.

I guess I stick out but there is quite a large older and retired population that dresses up similarly.

So I don’t stick out so much.

I used to stick out in public like a sore thumb. I felt like an alien. But 6 years on abilify and I just blend in now I’m happy to say.

I keep myself clean and I’ve been working on dressing nicely but I kinda have a vacant expression a lot of the time and I tend to pace a lot. I’m pretty sure I do stand out to those who are paying enough attention.

Well I do because I wear the Link outfit when I go out in public.

Fat people are a minority here, yes i stick out. You can see me miles away coming. I rather stay home.
- Somehow i found a way to blend in, adapt. I think i am a normalo. These days

I dress like a rich yuppie and take good care of my appearance. People constantly talk to me in public so I must be doing something right.
