Do you spend your time out in nature?

I used to take long walks, go in to the woods, fish during summer. I also used to jog a lot.

I’m currently doing physio to get my back sorted out. Then I’ll start walking again. It’ll be great to see the nature again.

What do you do when you are out in nature?

I like walking through the woods. And running when it’s snowing.

I’ve been walking in a park with my mom in the morning. I asked her if she wanted to hit up a different park everyday. She doesn’t want to. But no I don’t spend much time in nature. I can sit on the bench outside at day treatment and chat for hours.

I absolutely love being in nature, but for a long time now I’ve been too afraid of being followed and attacked

Go to less popular areas or go in the off season. The Bow River is crowded in July, but our party had it to ourselves this past Tuesday afternoon. No other kayakers or paddle boarders.

I do not spend my leisure time out in nature which is unfortunate. All I have done recently in the past 1-year or so is drive to work or a customer site, come home and go on my treadmill. I prefer walking & running on my treadmill than going outside because there are too many small hills, valleys and semi-mountainous areas in the area I live. Lots of rain & trees as well as snow which is very nature like but I do not take advantage of this green scenery.

I live kind of in the center of my city and I don’t own a car and no busses here so, no access to nature except the beautiful landscaping around my apartment complex.

I live in a cabin in the Maine woods so Im always in nature, it’s common to see deer, turkeys, coyotes and of course squirrels and birds of prey. I have a barn owl hooting every night outside my bedroom window. Love it.

I walk around the block nearly every morning. Round my area it’s best to be up early to catch the best sunshine.

Usually between 4:30am - 10:00am is the perfect time for me. If I want anything from the shop I go around that time.

My street is so beautiful, it’s got lots of kinda mesmerising trees with all having unique colours, it’s great.

I’m doing more paddle boarding and hiking in places without any cell phone service these days. That’s a problem if I have some sort of emergency, so I bought this:

It’s a Spot X. Paying about $30/mth for the unlimited plan so I can send and receive as many texts as I want. It works off of Globalstar satellites so I have coverage anywhere I go in Canada. If I have an emergency and need a rescue I just flip open the cover of the SOS button and press it for three seconds and then wait for the rescue.

Trying to balance my need to be in nature with the reality of having health conditions that may require a 911 call.

that’s a good idea, in the event of an emergency.

My default setting is clumsy. If anyone can break an ankle 5 km into a hike, it will be me. Best to have a Plan B.
