I’ve been a budgeter forever, even when I made good money. I always look for discounts or coupons/coupon codes or sales or used or refurbished stuff. Anyone else?
I buy on sale when I am able to. Sometimes I can’t because of no stock or a far store not worth gas and time.
I’m about the same. I always try looking for deals at grocery stores.
I buy most of my books and DVD’s used.
I buy nearly all my clothes from thrift shops. I score a lot of really nice name brand stuff too, like Tommy Hilfiger and Chaps shirts.
The only things I really splurge on are belts and shoes. It’s hard to find a good used belt, and I prefer American made belts.
And of course fresh kicks are nice.
I’ve gotten nice kicks from Nordstrom rack online, I got a pair of black and gum sole air force ones for like $45. Shoe palace and shoebacca have deals. I also recently got my first name brand watch, a Nixon time teller for over 50% off on ebay. Yay deals. And thrift shop flannels are top notch.
Man 45 bucks is a steal for a pair af ones! Those are usually a hundred bucks at Foot Locker.
I wear pretty much all Timex watches. They’re reliable, look great, and don’t make ya break the bank.
Good lookin out though for your Nixon watch.
I’m pretty frugal but certain things I won’t go cheap. I like what I like and will pay the extra for it.
I used to be a used-only kind of person, but I’ve been buying a lot of things on Amazon. Little things. Odds and ends.
I did buy my computer new though, same place. Want it to last.
I guess I’m not such a utilitarian anymore. Consumerism is OK to me.
Normally try to buy on sale, wholesale, or gently used. Only ever bought a car brand new once, never doing that again. I like to poach them when they’re a year old now.
I’ve always been a deal shopper and usually find good ones. My last winter coat was from Yonkers going out of business. I found a $280 coat for about $50. It had a beautiful fur trimmed hood, I ruined by washing the coat. I couldn’t afford to dry clean. I should have dry cleaned the fur trim, which was detachable. It’s pretty much ragged now and I need a new coat.
Most of the time I look for sales and bargains. Why pay full price when you can get it for less.
I’m always looking for cheap clothes. I don’t care what other people think about it. I noticed that when we got out stimulus checks some people spend money just to be spending money. There is too much good stuff I can buy cheap for me to do that. I do tip, though.
I found a pretty good trick in supermarkets, if things are on sale with long expiry dates, just get like half a years worth of what you need. Even if you only save £5, it all adds up.
I used to waste money. Now, I’m frugal. Love discounts.
