Do you like reading?

You could perhaps try a kindle. It’s really ncie on the eyes and you can choose font size in most kindle editions bought from amazon and it’s very handy. You can even download .pdfs from the net and put them there and they work.

Agree, you can also read these short articles on the kindle, it has a basic web browser.

I had and read a book by Robert Anton Wilson I also had some spoken word LPs and CDs with him on them too. He’s a genius, wish I could have read more of his stuff. But now all my books are in storage, don’t any room for them anymore.

Are you talking about Siddhartha by Herman Hesse? I liked that one too, as well as his other stuff.

Hi, yes I was referring to the Herman Hesse book of that title

I tried reading SteppenWolf by him. For some reason I couldn’t get into it. Maybe I’ll give it another try.

I’m on page 80 of Grand Design. I stopped reading it. It’s pretty dense. I will continue reading it in a week or so.

Wow everyone! I love reading about your reading joys, thank you for responding, I enjoy hearing others take pleasure in it, even with concentration struggles, I hear you all there but I love getting new books, my kindle helps someone asked I find with bigger font and bold adjustments I can concentrate longer. It’s just takes me longer to read something and it can be frustrating but I find it is often worth it

I used to read two or three books a week till I was diagnosed at 29. After that I probably read 3 books in ten years and I worked in a major book store. I’ve only just reconnected with books and it’s great. I too had bad concentration. I still find it hard to read long posts here but for certain punters I’ll sit and read their stuff! That is such a great thing to read again.

I like fantasy and sci fi. I read escapist literature because a lot of non fiction can be dry but if a subject interests me I’ll have a read.

My favourite sci fi book of all time is a book called. “The Last Legends of Earth!” by A.A. Attanasio. It is just a love story set in space but it’s just so well written. It has heaps of nerd gimicks like ramstat propulsion and it just so well written. If you get a chance and you love space opera give this book a go!

Yes I looove reading hence my bookworm avatar  I like fiction, mostly family drama and some thrillers/mystery. And a little non fiction especially in fields of nutrition, mental health, psychology, animals, Islam and art. And memoirs of interest

I am going to look that book up, I haven’t read decent sci fi fantasy in years! I am glad you have found reading again, I’d be lost without it for sure.

God no. I wish I liked reading. I wish I could have my nose in a book all the time but I have no patience and no power of concentration.

I like listening to audiobooks.

That’s fine too, everyone has their own ways :slightly_smiling_face: I bet you have different things you enjoy doing to pass the time!
