Do you like prawn?

The news just showed a recipe for prawn. I hate seafood and it looked so gross to me. The chef said you can even split open the head and eat that too. So gross to me!!! Do you like prawn?

They’re ok. I don’t eat often though. Maybe twice a year or so.

I like prawn when they are already peeled.

Oh ok. I’m sure the meat looks more enticing that way. The prawns shells are gross looking to me

I don’t eat seafood anymore, but when I did, I could tolerate shrimp if I was hungry and it was being offered.

But in the back of my mind, I would always think “bottom feeders”. Blech. :confounded:

Lol! I totally get that!

They are good grilled. I used to order them in Thailand all the time. Just a really big shrimp. I have never had any in the US though.

I enjoy a japanese appetizer called AMA-ebi.

It’s raw prawn tails topped with caviar on rice, and the deep fried head and legs with a dipping sauce.

They’re similar to soft shell crab. Real crunchy

I wonder if the preparation is different in Thailand. It would be interesting to see the similarities and differences between the US and Thailand

Every years new years we had prawn cocktail. My parents were great in foods. I miss their meals so much. There favourite was stroganoff ( goulash). Always a winner on our parties back than.

I haven’t had stroganoff in a long time

You can make it yourself. I got better by the meal. Pork and beef diced meat …fried with onions and stuff. Thicken the sauce and chilli. Beautiful.

The only seafood I can tolerate is tuna. All others make me gag, literally gag. It always tastes like something that gone bad to me, even when I make it at home and my husband says it tastes great
